About Yelverton Bohemians Cricket Club

Yelverton Bohemians Cricket Club is a vibrant community cricket club based in the village of Yelverton, Devon, on the edge of Dartmoor in southwest England. Founded in 1960 through the merger of the original Yelverton village team and the Plymouth Bohemians, the club has a long-standing tradition of promoting cricket for players of all ages and abilities.

Run entirely by volunteers, Yelverton Bohemians fields multiple teams across competitive leagues — including several Saturday league XIs in the Devon Cricket League and the Plymouth & District evening league, as well as Sunday and midweek teams — and offers a welcoming environment for both experienced cricketers and newcomers to the sport.

The club also places a strong emphasis on youth development and inclusivity, with teams and coaching programmes for juniors, girls, and women, helping nurture talent and foster a love for cricket throughout the local community.

Home matches are played at Langton Park on Plymouth Road, an attractive ground with views towards Dartmoor, where cricketing action and social camaraderie are central to village life.
